In The News: Stalker Sentenced!

Was Christine Arrosco a lone stalker or an integral player in an organized stalking protocol? We don't know because she refused to tell the court why she embarked on her reign of terror against the victim.
"I know of at least one other stalker who, like this lady, did a bunch of things which group stalkers do. He, too, was totally silent on WHY he did those deeds.
I suspect that some of these may well be group stalkers, but know their life isn't worth a penny if they say anything at all about a group of stalkers.
In order to make use of a video like that, we would need to describe it as JUST LIKE what we experience.
We must not claim she IS a group stalker, because there is no evidence of that in the video..." - Eleanor White

A Word to the Wise T.I. - Cop Criteria for Crazy

At the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement's (NACOLE) 15th annual conference held in Austin, Texas, which took place from October 31 - November 3, police officers learned, at a seminar called, "The Reality of Working with the Mentally Ill," that they can make the determination that a citizen is mentally ill if that person exhibits the following:

Implausible story: "The FBI put a chip in my head" (or other fantastical claims);

Behaviors: Rapid or pressured speech, resistance to reason, whispering, monotone voice, screaming, yelling, rambling or incoherent speech, odd gestures;

Appearance: Disheveled, excessive make-up, clothes not appropriate to weather;

Verbalizations: Anxiety, depression, paranoia, suicidal thoughts, grandiose ideation. -

Many thanks to Sueann, and also to Eleanor White for publishing Sueann's message. Here's hoping that A Word to the Wise T.I. will be sufficient.

Nanny Cams and Spy Cameras

One T.I. got a nanny cam and it recorded a perp entering her home. She phoned the police. The officer told her that she had staged the entire thing: camera, phony perp, etc.

Another T.I. had security cameras professionally wired on her house to catch the people who were leaving their cars parked both in, and in front of, her driveway. The perp neighbors got a restraining order issued against her, claiming that she used those cameras to film them on their own property (which was across the street from hers). Furthermore, they presented a large group of homeless men who testified that she had photographed them without their permission, which is illegal in some states. While she had in fact taken photos of some homeless guys perping her, it was not the 20+ men who were paraded to the court during the pretrial hearing. In the end, she was ordered to see a psychologist and undergo psychological testing.

A third T.I. reported that perps continued to enter her house and mess with things, yet her hidden cameras showed no one entering her premises.

Here are some tips that *may* help you catch your pep red-handed:

1) If you plan to get a hidden camera, don't say so on any internet forum. Likewise, don't tell anyone via telephone, verbal conversation, Instant Message, chat or Blackberry message. This precaution might reduce the chance of your perps finding out.

2) If you do buy a hidden camera, make sure it is really hidden, so the perps won't find it.

3) If the nanny/hidden camera has a removable memory drive, then all the perp has to do is come in, delete its memory (that had his image on it) and then leave in such a way as not to be captured by the camera's eye again.

4) If you do capture your perp on film: Never give a cop a verbal-only statement; if he's a perp then when he writes up his incident report he can say anything he wants in his report, to your detriment. Always go to the police station with a friend or family member who supports you. Say you wish to make a WRITTEN complaint, and be very careful what you write. Stick to the specifics of the break in and if they want to take the nanny cam to look at the film, don't give them the original. First make a copy of the film and give them the copy. Keep the original, or the evidence might 'mysteriously' disappear when they have it. If they leave the room with it they might bring it back wiped.

Don't tell them you've got the original and are only giving them a copy, or they might demand that as well. Also, if they ask you,"Why would someone do this to you?" Tell them that you have no idea. No matter how much they press you, never mention Organized Stalking, Electronic Harassment or Mind Control. Never answer the question, "who do you think is behind it?" You don't know. For more information on how to interact with police see THIS ENTRY.

5) And finally, never agree to a voluntary commitment to a mental word or hospital.

Here's hoping that A Word to the Wise T.I. is sufficient.

Weapons Effects: Hynosis & Head Targeting

According to Science News Magazine, "Most recently, hypnosis has advanced from stage and clinic into the laboratory. It is now used as a research tool to temporarily create hallucinations, compulsions, delusions and certain types of seizures in the lab so that these phenomena can be investigated in detail."

The above image clearly shows that the yellow area becomes most active when a person is being hypnotized. (
If that link doesn't work, paste the following url into your browser window and hit your enter key. http://www.sciencenews.org/view/feature/id/47697/title/The_Mesmerized_Mind)

What does this mean for the Targeted Individual? That may depend on whether or not your hypnosis-activated area is targeted by Electronic Harassment. How might you tell if it is?

One way is to ask yourself if you are prone to newly acquired, irrational attitudes or behavior. Are you suddenly eating the one food you swore you'd never eat again? Are you listening to listening sports radio, which you've always hated, instead of classical music? Have you ever, without a forethought or intention, attempted suicide?

Is the hypnosis-activated area prone to feeling warmer than the rest of your head? T.I.s frequently report finding warm spots on their heads. If you're not sure if you do, use your fingertips to feel that area. If your fingertip sensitivity has is reduced for whatever reason, then use the base of your palm (the thickest part of your hand) and see if you can detect warmth over the hypnosis-activated area. Testing should be done frequently, and especially right before you go to bed, and while you are in bed. If this area is targeted, and is accompanied by repetitive rhythmic V2K or Sound-to-Skull, then you may be being prepared for hypnotic commands while you sleep.

To counteract possible attempts to plant hypnotic suggestions while you sleep, you'll need to simultaneously play multiple radio talk shows while you sleep: 6 radios, each tuned to a different channel. Play these radios all night. Not so loud as to invite complaints from the neighbors, but loud enough that you can't focus on what any one channel says. The resulting chaos will help you not to 'hear' V2K hypnotic commands.

Another thing you should do is to protect that part of your head when it is being heated: use your hands and arms to cover that part of the head while you sit or sleep.

You can further shield your head with a construction made from various shielding materials like silicon baking sheets, stainless steel or copper and Rubbermaid rubber bath mats.

Store Scams - Undeclared Cash Back

Image: from clipartheaven

Beware of this new scam that's come to our attention courtesy of a T.I., who asked not to be named.

It happened at Wal-Mart (Supercenter Store #1279, 10411 N Freeway 45, Houston, TX 77037 a month ago. I bought a bunch of stuff, over $150. I glanced at my receipt as the cashier was handing me the bags. I saw a cash-back of $40. I told her I didn't request a cash back and to delete it. She said I'd have to take the $40 because she couldn't delete it. I told her to call a supervisor.

Supervisor came and said I'd have to take it. I said, "NO!"

Taking the $40 would be a cash advance against my credit card and I wasn't paying interest on a cash advance! If they couldn't delete it then they would have to delete the whole order. So the supervisor had the cashier delete the whole order and re-scan everything!

The second time I looked at the electronic pad before I signed and this time a cash-back of $20 popped up. At that point I told the cashier and she deleted it. The total came out right. The cashier agreed that the electronic pad must be defective. Obviously the cashier knew the electronic pad was defective because she NEVER offered me the $40 at the beginning. Can you imagine how many people went through before me and at the end of her shift how much money she pocketed?

Just to alert everyone. My co-worker went to Milford, DE Wal-Mart last week. She had her items rung up by the cashier. The cashier hurried her along and didn't give her a receipt. She asked the cashier for a receipt and the cashier was annoyed and gave it to her. My co-worker didn't look at her receipt until later that night. The receipt showed that she asked for $20 cash back. SHE DID NOT ASK FOR CASH BACK! My co-worker called Wal-Mart who investigated but could not see the cashier pocket the money.

She then called her niece who works for the bank and her niece told her this. This is a new scam going on. The cashier will key in that you asked for cash back and then hand it to her friend who is the next person in line, and who pays for her merchandise with a large denomination bill.

Please, please, please check your receipts right away when using credit or debit cards!

This is NOT limited to Wal-Mart, although they are the largest retailer so they have the most incidents

I am adding to this. My husband and I were in Wal-Mart North Salisbury and paying with credit card when my husband went to sign the credit card signer he just happen to notice there was a $20 cash back added. He told the cashier that he did not ask nor want cash back and she said this machine has been messing up and she cancelled it. We really didn't think anything of it until we read this email.

I wonder how many "seniors" have been, or will be, "stung" by this one?

To make matters worse ...THIS SCAM CAN BE DONE ANYWHERE, AT ANY RETAIL OR WHOLESALE LOCATION!

So, before you move away from the cashier, check your receipt. Here's hoping that

Axing Anxiety with Celery

According to the New York Times, "Celery contains phytochemicals called phthalides, which some studies have shown reduce stress hormones and work to relax the muscle walls in arteries, increasing blood flow. As a result, it has long been used in Chinese medicine to help control high blood pressure. Celery is an excellent source of vitamins K and C, and a very good source of potassium, folate, dietary fiber, molybdenum, manganese, and vitamin B6."

Unfortunately, most people don't know there exist a wide variety of delicious, nutritious and STRESS REDUCING celery recipes, so celery tends to go unused in the refrigerator after you buy a bunch for a soup or stew, or for that Thanksgiving stuffing recipe that calls for only one stalk."

So I've compiled some tips and easy to make recipes from a variety of sources because A Word to the Wise T.I. should be sufficient.

TIPS FOR USING CELERY: use the tough outter stalks in soups and stews and stuffing, and the more tender inner stalks (aka the celery heart) in salads.

According to the Vegan Coach, you can create your very own celery recipe with some of your favorite ingredients from the following list of foods that match perfectly with celery:

Almonds * Bread Crumbs * Butter, or non-dairy spread like Earth Balance * Carrots * Cream, or non-dairy Silk Soy Creamer * Curry * Dill * Fennel * Garlic * Green * Onions * Lemon * Onions * Mayonnaise * Mushrooms * Mustard * Nutmeg * Onion * Parsley * Peanut Butter, or other nut butter * Pimento * Tomato * Vinegar * Walnuts *
Water Chestnuts

And here are some mouth watering recipes guaranteed to melt the stress away, while delighting the taste buds.

3 stalks of celery
3 apples
1 stem broccoli (optional)
1/2 lemon (optional)
Directions

Wash the fruit and vegetables using water and a stiff vegetable brush. Keep the leaves on the celery.
Core the apples.

Cut the peel off the lemon - some people like to leave this on but I find this makes the juice too bitter.

Slice the fruit and vegetables to fit your juicer.
Juice and enjoy.

2 peeled lemons
1 handful of tender celery leaves
1/2 cup raw sugar

Juice the celery leaves, then the lemons. Stir in sugar, add water to make 1 quart. Serve with ice cubes. - (HarvestEssentials)

Yield: 4 side dishes, or 2 main dishes

1/2 pound white button or cremini mushrooms, very thinly sliced
4 celery stalks, from the heart of the celery, very thinly sliced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon minced chives
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 ounces shaved Parmesan

Toss together the mushrooms, celery, parsley, and chives, and season with salt and pepper. Mix together the lemon juice (or lemon juice and vinegar) and olive oil, and toss with the vegetables. Just before serving, toss again with the Parmesan.

Yield: 3 side soup servings, or 1 1/2 main dinner servings

1 medium onion
1 medium russet potato
2 small to medium size carrots
5 medium-length celery stalks (save the leafy tops for the drizzle topping recipe below)
1 1/2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil1 garlic clove, chopped
2 1/2 cups of lightly-flavored, great tasting, vegetable or chicken broth (or water)
1 cup cooked wild rice, brown rice, barley, or wheat berries
Optional: celery leaf pesto (recipe below)
Parmesan cheese, freshly grated (optional)

Chop the onion, potato, carrots, and celery into pieces that are about 1/2-inch or smaller, cutting everything roughly the same size to keep cooking time uniform for all ingredients.

In a large thick-bottomed soup pot over medium high heat combine the olive oil, onion, potato, carrots, celery and a few big pinches of salt. Saute for about ten minutes or until the onions and celery soften a touch and expel some water. Stir in the garlic and add the stock. Bring to a simmer and let cook for another 10 minutes or until the celery, carrot and potatoes are just cooked through - resist the urge to over cook them into mush. Stir in the rice a few minutes before the potatoes and carrot are cooked though. Remove the soup from the heat and ladle into soup bowls. Top each with a generous drizzle of the celery leaf pesto (opt) and/or some Parmesan cheese.

* 1/2 cup (lightly packed) celery leaves, minced
* 1 medium clove of garlic, minced
* 1/8 teaspoon of salt
* 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil.

If you have a food processor, puree ingredients for about 30 seconds.

If you do not have a food processor, grind, mash and blend ingredients in a motor and pistal until well blended.

Celery and Apple Soup
Yield: 3 side servings, or 1 1/2 main course servings

1/8 cup (1/4 stick) butter
2 cups peeled celery, cut into 1/2-inch pieces2 medium Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 onion, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
2 cups (or more) low-salt chicken or vegetarian broth
1/4 cup chopped chives
1/2 cup oil
Pinch of salt

Top with one of the following: 3 ounces crumbled crispy thinly sliced bacon or pancetta, or grated Parmisan cheese.

Curried Celery and Apple Soup

Yield: 2 servings
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1/2 Onion. diced
3 Celery stalks, chopped
Leaves from celery stalks, chopped
1 Carrot, peeled and diced
1 Potato, diced
1 clove Garlic, minced
1/2 Granny Smith Apple, diced
2 cups low sodium Vegetable or Chicken broth
2 teaspoon Curry Powder (use if you just want a hing of curry flavor, but not spicy)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried Thyme
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon ground Black Pepper (optional)

Sauté the onion, carrot and celery in some vegetable oil for about 10. Add the potatoes, sauté for another 5 minutes. Add the garlic, the apple and the spices, continue to sauté for a few more minutes.

At this point add the broth, scrape the bottom of the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook for another 10 minutes and then add the celery leaves and cook for another 5 minutes. Now blend the soup (or parts of it if you like chunks.) Salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Yield: 4 if a side dish, 2 if the main entree

Celery leaves, chopped (or other salad greens)
4 ribs of celery, sliced thin on the diagonal
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
2 tablespoons toasted walnuts, optional (reduced from 3/4 cup)

Dressing
Juice of a lemon
1 tablespoon good mustard (reduced from 2 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon honey (reduced from 2 1/2 teaspoons)
1 tablespoon olive oil (reduced from 1/3 cup)
Salt & pepper to taste

Whisk together the dressing ingredients in a small bowl.
Arrange celery leaves or salad greens on plates. Add the celery and apple. Drizzle with the dressing. Top with toasted walnuts.

A Word to the Wise T.I. - D.E.W. Effects That Mimic Illness

Do you find yourself sick with what seems like a cold, hay fever, or a flu every single weekend, holiday, day off from work, or day of an important appointment? Well, what you have may not be symptoms of natural illness, but instead be the effects of Electronic Harassment. What was that? Electronic Harassment (EH)?

With judicious targeting, the EH effects that are mimic symptoms of colds and flu. So, there is a good chance besides taking a couple of asperin, an antihistamine and a decongestant, you won't feel better unless you either you get away from your EH-doused home or us EH-shielding.

Shielding your head, especially your sinuses, bridge of nose and throat, as well as the back of neck, shoulders, upper thorax and digestive track will prevent you from getting worse, and may even prevent symptom-mimicking weapons effects: hot and feverous, sinus pain, stuffy nose, sore throat, neck; shoulder aches, shortness of breath and nausea.

How do you do this? First, sleep inside of a construction made by layering flexible silicon baking sheets, Rubbermaid suction-cup bath mats, and stainless steel baking sheets. With all of that you may still need to sleep with your hands/arms positioned so as to cover the part of your head or torso you feel the worse of the weapon's effects.

You can keep silicon baking sheets in place against your torso, over your entire digestive tract (neck to groin), sides, and back by positioning them between two layers of clothing (i.e.two t-shirts). Make sure there are no gaps between the sheets.

If you are suffering from a true cold or flu, then homeopathics, or a combination of over-the-counter antihistamine, decongestant, asperine and caffeine will leave you fit to make your appointment or participate in activism.

But if the situation is caused by EH, you'll know it because the shielding blocks or lessens the illness, an illness that returns when you aren't shielded in your house.

How exactly do you construct your shielding? Trial and error is the best way, but you need full 365 degree coverage and want to have the stainless steel sheets about 7 inches from your head. Try layering the other materials either on top of or underneath the stainless steel. You'll have to leave as small a hole as possible from which to breath, but try not to have that hole near your head.

Because your hot and feverish feeling can be caused by remotely directed microwave heating, it is helpful to have an oscillating fan on near by, to help cool you down (yes, even in chilly Canada). If you can afford to, then you might want to sleep with air conditioning on - yes, even the winter.

Be ready to reposition the materials and try new combinations of your shielding materials every night. One thing for certain: don't get into the habit of position the materials exactly the same way every night, This will give your tormentors more time to figure out a way to bypass your shielding.

So, the next time you want to attend a protest, go to a meeting or make an appointment, shield your head the night prior to the event, especially as soon as you feel the onset of effects/symptoms.

Get Wise, T.I. - Spying & Sickening Cell Phones (Updated 11/05/09)

Thanks to Blanche C. for first alerting us to an Eye Witness News report on how even the most modern cell phone can be turned into a spying device. While I can no longer find that video, here is another.

Each T.I. needs to evaluate how much he/she needs a cell phone. The video hasn't convinced you? Read this article, quote...

"Mind Control by Cell Phone: Electromagnetic signals from cell phones can change your brainwaves and behavior. But don't break out the aluminum foil head shield just yet." by R. Douglas Fields, Scientific American

Hospitals and airplanes ban the use of cell phones, because their electromagnetic transmissions can interfere with sensitive electrical devices. Could the brain also fall into that category? Of course, all our thoughts, sensations and actions arise from bioelectricity generated by neurons and transmitted through complex neural circuits inside our skull. Electrical signals between neurons generate electric fields that radiate out of brain tissue as electrical waves that can be picked up by electrodes touching a person's scalp. Measurements of such brainwaves in EEGs provide powerful insight into brain function and a valuable diagnostic tool for doctors. Indeed, so fundamental are brainwaves to the internal workings of the mind, they have become the ultimate, legal definition drawing the line between life and death.

Brainwaves change with a healthy person's conscious and unconscious mental activity and state of arousal. But scientists can do more with brainwaves than just listen in on the brain at work-they can selectively control brain function by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). This technique uses powerful pulses of electromagnetic radiation beamed into a person's brain to jam or excite particular brain circuits.

Although a cell phone is much less powerful than TMS, the question still remains: Could the electrical signals coming from a phone affect certain brainwaves operating in resonance with cell phone transmission frequencies? After all, the caller's cerebral cortex is just centimeters away from radiation broadcast from the phone's antenna. Two studies provide some revealing news.

The first, led by Rodney Croft, of the Brain Science Institute, Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, tested whether cell phone transmissions could alter a person's brainwaves. The researchers monitored the brainwaves of 120 healthy men and women while a Nokia 6110 cell phone—one of the most popular cell phones in the world—was strapped to their head. A computer controlled the phone's transmissions in a double-blind experimental design, which meant that neither the test subject nor researchers knew whether the cell phone was transmitting or idle while EEG data were collected. The data showed that when the cell phone was transmitting, the power of a characteristic brain-wave pattern called alpha waves in the person's brain was boosted significantly. The increased alpha wave activity was greatest in brain tissue directly beneath to the cell phone, strengthening the case that the phone was responsible for the observed effect.

Alpha Waves of Brain

Alpha waves fluctuate at a rate of eight to 12 cycles per second (Hertz). These brainwaves reflect a person's state of arousal and attention. Alpha waves are generally regarded as an indicator of reduced mental effort, "cortical idling" or mind wandering. But this conventional view is perhaps an oversimplification. Croft, for example, argues that the alpha wave is really regulating the shift of attention between external and internal inputs. Alpha waves increase in power when a person shifts his or her consciousness of the external world to internal thoughts; they also are the key brainwave signatures of sleep.

Cell Phone Insomnia

If cell phone signals boost a person's alpha waves, does this nudge them subliminally into an altered state of consciousness or have any effect at all on the workings of their mind that can be observed in a person's behavior? In the second study, James Horne and colleagues at the Loughborough University Sleep Research Centre in England devised an experiment to test this question. The result was surprising. Not only could the cell phone signals alter a person's behavior during the call, the effects of the disrupted brain-wave patterns continued long after the phone was switched off.

"This was a completely unexpected finding," Horne told me. "We didn't suspect any effect on EEG [after switching off the phone].

We were interested in studying the effect of mobile phone signals on sleep itself." But it quickly became obvious to Horne and colleagues in preparing for the sleep-research experiments that some of the test subjects had difficulty falling asleep.

Horne and his colleagues controlled a Nokia 6310e cell phone—another popular and basic phone—attached to the head of 10 healthy but sleep-deprived men in their sleep research lab. (Their sleep had been restricted to six hours the previous night.) The researchers then monitored the men's brainwaves by EEG while the phone was switched on and off by remote computer, and also switched between "standby," "listen" and "talk" modes of operation for 30 minute intervals on different nights. The experiment revealed that after the phone was switched to "talk" mode a different brain-wave pattern, called delta waves (in the range of one to four Hertz), remained dampened for nearly one hour after the phone was shut off. These brainwaves are the most reliable and sensitive marker of stage two sleep—approximately 50 percent of total sleep consists of this stage—and the subjects remained awake twice as long after the phone transmitting in talk mode was shut off. Although the test subjects had been sleep-deprived the night before, they could not fall asleep for nearly one hour after the phone had been operating without their knowledge.

Although this research shows that cell phone transmissions can affect a person's brainwaves with persistent effects on behavior, Horne does not feel there is any need for concern that cell phones are damaging. The arousal effects the researchers measured are equivalent to about half a cup of coffee, and many other factors in a person's surroundings will affect a night's sleep as much or more than cell phone transmissions.

"The significance of the research," he explained, is that although the cell phone power is low, "electromagnetic radiation can nevertheless have an effect on mental behavior when transmitting at the proper frequency." He finds this fact especially remarkable when considering that everyone is surrounded by electromagnetic clutter radiating from all kinds of electronic devices in our modern world. Cell phones in talk mode seem to be particularly well-tuned to frequencies that affect brainwave activity. "The results show sensitivity to low-level radiation to a subtle degree. These findings open the door by a crack for more research to follow. One only wonders if with different doses, durations, or other devices, would there be greater effects?"

Croft of Swinburne emphasizes that there are no health worries from these new findings. "The exciting thing about this research is that it allows us to have a look at how you might modulate brain function and this [look] tells us something about how the brain works on a fundamental level." In other words, the importance of this work is in illuminating the fundamental workings of the brain-scientists can now splash away with their own self-generated electromagnetic waves and learn a great deal about how brainwaves respond and what they do.

Mind Matters is edited by Jonah Lehrer, the science writer behind the blog, The Frontal Cortex and the book Proust was a Neuroscientist.
