I found Virus Total http://www.virustotal.com/ at PC World. It received awards as one of the "best products" from numerous PC magazines. You can use Virus Total to check any file before you launch that file on your computer. This site lets you send them the file and then they run 41 different brands of anti-viral software against it, and then sends you back a report.
Here's hoping that A Word to the Wise T.I. is sufficient.
